Old Northamptonians Cricket Club was founded in 1922 by former students of the Northampton School for Boys following their return from the First World War. During our 100 plus years of existence we have established ourselves as one of the largest and most successful cricket clubs in Northamptonshire. Our senior and junior teams have won numerous league titles and several professional and international cricketers have begun their cricketing journey at the club.
We are based on the Billing Road in central Northampton. The majority of our games take place at Old Northamptonians Sports Ground which has 2 cricket squares, artificial nets and a large clubhouse with a bar. We also play some games across the road at Northampton School for Boys. Please note that dogs are not permitted on either ground or in the clubhouse, with the exception of assistance dogs.
We currently have 5 senior teams competing in the Northamptonshire Cricket League with our 1st XI competing in the Premier Division and most recently winning the league title in 2017. We also have junior teams at U10s, U11s, U12s, U13s and U15s playing in the Northampton & District League, U15s and U17s in the Higham and District League as well as the U19s playing in the Countywide competition. We also run our successful Friday night minis throughout the summer with children from 5 upwards given a chance to try softball cricket for the first time.
